The web is changing. It is now infested with predators. Due to changes in copyright law, images that were in the public domain and free to use have now been registered by predatory companies who then crawl the web searching for sites that use the images. Then they charge exorbitant fees for the use or they sue. Due to the changes in copyright law, you have no defense. It does not matter where you obtained the images, that you obtained permission from the supposed owner to use them, or that you paid for them, the current registered owner of the images can demand and receive court judgments against you. Because of this, I have removed all images from the website except those created by me. I may add images back at a later date.
Some links, especially to videos, are external links. Just as with humans, web sites are born, change, and die daily, so some of the links may be broken or the sites may have closed. When this is the case, you will get an error when trying to open the links. I don't have the time to continually verify video links, so I have removed them. Martial art videos are easily found and viewed on video sites such as YouTube. I May add YouTube links at a later date.
Taekwondo is a Korean martial art; some Taekwondo schools use a lot of Korean terminology, some use very little, and some use none. TKDTutor believes instructors should use the common language of their country. Since TKDTutor is based in the United States, it uses English terminology, although some common Korean terms are used. The terminology topic presents Korean equivalents of several English terms.
To facilitate faster loading of frequently visited pages, most browsers store the pages in a cache on the user's computer so the pages do not have to be downloaded each time the user visits them. Sometimes, when visiting a site, the browser displays the stored version of the pages rather checking for newer versions. To ensure you are getting the newest versions of pages, you should periodically clear your browser cache of stored pages. To refresh an individual page while online, click inside the page and hold down Control Key while selecting Refresh on your browser or pressing the F5 function key.
I am continuously updating and adding to TKDTutor.com, so keep coming back. Check out the Changes topic for changes made since your last visit. The best inspiration for instructors and TKDTutor is when people tell us they think we are doing a good job. In addition, we like to have people tell us when we are doing something wrong so we may fix it. If you enjoy TKDTutor, you find an error, or you disagree with something in it, please let me know.
